Matching Gift Program

Multiply Your Gift with a Company Match

Thousands of companies match donations made by their employees and sometimes even by retirees.

When you give to the Gamma Mu Foundation, your employer may match your gift 1:1, 2:1, or even 3:1, multiplying your impact of your donation. These matching gifts help us iincrease support for rural based LGBTQ+ organizations and expand scholarships across the country.

Use the tool below to check if your employer offers a match and access the forms and instructions you’ll need to submit your request.

This tool is also available directly on our donation page, for easy access! Once you make your donation, keep an eye out for an email detailing how to submit the Match Request to your employer. We have made it quick and easy for you!

The Gamma Mu Foundation is registered with major corporate social responsibility (CSR) platforms — Benevity, Uncommon Giving, YourCause (Blackbaud), FrontDoor (CyberGrants), Bright Funds, and Millie — making it easy for employees at participating companies to support our work through matching gifts.

After identifying your company’s program, follow your employer’s instructions, typically through an online portal or HR department. You may need our EIN (33-0351175) and contact information, both of which are provided below and on our website.

  • What information will I need to complete my company’s matching gift form?

Most forms require the nonprofit’s name, EIN (Employer Identification Number), mailing address, donation amount, and date. Here’s what you’ll likely need:

    • Organization Name: Gamma Mu Foundation
    • EIN: 33-0351175
    • Mailing Address: PO Box 23520, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33307-3520

Since the Foundation is registered with many major CSR platforms, this information is often pre-filled in your company’s matching gift portal, making the process even easier.

After you submit your donation, you’ll receive a follow-up email from the Foundation asking whether you are eligible for a matching gift and if you’ve submitted the request. If you’re not eligible, you’ll have the option to indicate this within the email to avoid receiving any additional reminders.

  • Can retired employees or spouses request a matching gift?

Many companies extend their matching gift programs to retirees and spouses. The search tool will specify if your company offers this benefit.

  • Where will my matching gift go?

Matching gifts support the Gamma Mu Foundation’s grantmaking and scholarship programs, helping LGBTQ+ individuals and grassroots organizations, especially in rural and underserved communities across the United States.

  • Will my matching gift count toward my cumulative donor recognition level?

Yes! Any eligible matching gift received will be credited toward your total giving history with the Foundation, including recognition in programs such as the Cliff Pettit Fellows and Oak Tree Society.

  • I already submitted my match request. How can I let you know?

After you make a donation, the Foundation will send you a follow-up email asking whether you're eligible for a matching gift and if you’ve submitted the request. If you have already completed your company’s match submission, simply click the link in that email to let us know.

If you’re not eligible for a matching gift, you can indicate that as well in the same email to prevent any additional reminders.

You can also notify us directly by emailing us at info@gammamufoundation.org.

  • My company isn’t listed. What can I do?

If your employer doesn’t appear in the matching gift search tool:

    • Check with HR or CSR: Your company may offer a matching gift program that isn’t publicly listed.
    • Broaden the scope: Some companies use custom names or work through CSR platforms. Let HR know you searched and ask if your company is registered under a different name or system.
    • Encourage participation: If no program exists, consider suggesting one—matching gifts increase employee engagement and community impact.
